Weekend Trip to Sedona & Flagstaff

It was so nice to get out of the valley for the weekend! The fresh air, the cooler temperatures, and the gorgeous views, it was much needed. We were only there for a few days, but it was just enough time to get some great shots, eat some good food and just enjoy ourselves! Keep reading for all the details on the trip and the outfits I wore!

Saturday morning, when we arrived in Sedona, we stopped at an arts and crafts farmers market. We picked up some yummy prickly pear syrup for margaritas and we also bought the cutest handmade metal cactus for my garden. (My favorite prickly pair margarita recipe is linked here). I love supporting local businesses!

We ate at so many delicious restaurants I was practically in a food coma. My favorite was by far Canyon Breeze, which isn’t because of their food, but because of their bloody Mary’s! I had to have two, they were that good! Aside from the amazing food and cute little shops, I was able to wear some adorable outfits.

This first outfit was the one I got the most questions and compliments on! I went for the classic grey sweater, a pair of colored jeans, booties and a hat (to cover my crazy hair). Both the grey cutout sweater and my burgundy jeans are from TJ Maxx, they were each under $20! My favorite, the hat, is from a shop in Flagstaff called The Basement Marketplace, which was less than $13!

(Please excuse my squinty eye, it has a mind of it's own)

The sun made it a little too warm for this vest, but I’m still obsessed! Believe it or not, I got it at Forever 21 for $17, it was originally priced at $89! It can easily be paired with a basic top and a pair of leggings as well.

On the way to Flagstaff from Sedona, we stopped at the cutest pumpkin patch to snap some pictures! There were so many great photo ops, we couldn't resist. And they had the most perfect mini white pumpkins! To save space with packing, I like to get multiple outfits out of a few items, which is what I did with my boots (which take up the most space). All I did, was throw on a white tee with this perfect jacket and scarf combo! This jacket was ideal for the weather up north! It's not too heavy, can be paired with almost anything, and it was only $17 at TJ Maxx!

It's so nice to be able to get out of the desert heat for a few days and enjoy the crisp fall air and the changing of the colors. I spent most of my life in Vermont, and I couldn't stand the cold and never appreciated the beautiful fall, until I moved where it's summer all the time. This is part of the reason why I'm so inspired to explore!
