Vegan In the Valley II

Eating out can be difficult for someone who is vegan, so I'm here to find the best spots in The Valley that offer the best vegan dishes. I ate a vegetarian diet for about 6 years during high school and after, but for health reasons I started eating meat again. So for this series I'll bringing along my sister, Amy, to help because she's vegan! For this post we went to two spots in Mesa, these spots are more for breakfast or a quick bite to eat.

If you missed our first post, you can read it here.

The Nile Coffee Shop

This was our first stop of the morning, and the atmosphere was so welcoming, I think Amy found her new study spot! When you go, you HAVE to try a raspberry vanilla soy latte, it was the most yummy latte we have ever tasted! So smooth and so full of flavor, neither of us could put it down. We also chose two items off their breakfast menu, the Bacon Sweet Potato Bagel (put together like a sandwich) and the Veggie Bagel. I am not a big fan of sweet potato but in the breakfast sandwich it tasted so good, I couldn't even tell it was sweet potato! It was just like eating a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. This is the perfect dish for someone who isn't vegan but is wanting to try or is visiting a vegan spot. The veggie bagel was so light and delicious, I think it would be the perfect thing to grab while studying. The vegan dill cream cheese was so delightful and paired perfectly with the cukes and tomatoes! Everything about this coffee shop was inviting, the decor, the employees, the atmosphere, etc. We can't wait to go back!

The Cutting Board Bakery & Cafe

Just like The Nile, EVERYTHING here is completely vegan! The cappuccinos were yummy, they had the most moist blueberry cupcake ever, and you would never guess their magic bars are animal-product free. The presentation of their beverages and their baked goods made you want to sample everything! We decided on the blueberry cupcake, which was rich, but not overly heavy, the texture reminded me of angel food cake. We also got a magic bar which was huge and tasted just like a traditional one. Besides pastries and baked goods, they had a full menu of dishes, which we are going back to try :)

If you made it here, thank you for reading my entire post! What are your favorite vegan dishes or restaurants to visit? Send me a message in the contact tab and I'll be sure to check them out. And don't forget to subscribe!
